Chia Seed Jam

The easiest jam you will ever make!!! With no artificial sweeteners or flavours one of the healthiest you can make too!

When I was a kid my grandma use to make freezer jam. Have you guys ever tried it??? It is seriously some of the best jam you will ever have. So while I haven’t quite tracked down that recipe I did discover this one and I have to say, it’s a close second.

This jam is really great to whip up as a special treat when you have visitors and you want to wow them with your kitchen skills or to treat your families on any regular weekday. No one needs to know that it took you literally no time and all it required were a couple measuring cups and a food processor.

Now since they key ingredient in this jam is chai seeds you do get a bit of that seedy texture, which, if you make this recipe with raspberries you don’t even notice it. So experiment with your favourite berries and figure out what flavour you love the best.

No regarding my Grandma’s freezer jam don’t worry, my hunt continues and when I find it I assure you, I will share!

servings 2 cups


Chia Seed Jam

2 cups frozen berries

1/4 cup chia seeds

1 tbsp vanilla

1/4 cup honey

2 tsp lime juice

In a food processor combine all ingredients and blend until fully combined. Refrigerate a minimum of 4 hours to allow it to come together. Store in your fridge up to 1 week.
